Industrial Biotech Companies to Showcase Biobased Products at World Congress on Industrial Biotechnology & Bioprocessing

WHAT:

BIO will host a Biobased Product Showcase to display consumer items made from renewable resources that are becoming more common in U.S. homes – including clothing made from biobased polymers, laundry detergents and food items containing enzymes, and a synthetic rubber tire made from renewable chemical ingredients. Representatives from companies that make these products will explain how industrial biotechnology enables the use of renewable resources to replace petroleum and fossil resources and how consumers can reduce their environmental footprint by choosing items made through cleaner, more efficient bioprocesses.
